I walked to Big Fish Grill in Ocean View on Sunday evening at 5pm with 4 friends and my 8 week old daughter. I live right down the street. I asked if it was possible to sit on the patio (because of the stroller) and order some happy hour menu items/drinks. The amount of times, and the amount of ways that I was told NO was truly shocking. The restaurant was half empty and the deck was completely empty. Further, it was me coming up with ways we could stay and dine rather than management. Is the gap between full price mussels and happy hour mussels so important that you turn away a 4 top requesting a reasonable accommodation for a child? Further, the manager could have politely offered us a floor table and we would likely have stayed. Instead, they spent an inordinate amount of time telling us what we couldn't do. Hospitality is about finding ways to tell your guests YES, not NO. Very disappointed.
I’ve been here twice- once service was exceptionally slow and we ended up having to get up and approach our waiter several times to get his attention/our bill and the other was fine. The upstairs is very noisy. Food is good but not above average. Would come back/recommend.
Good food, good service. I asked for extra crispy, well-done fries. And that's what I got! The exclamation point is because I ask for that every time I order fries. And I only get it about 1 in 20 times. But at the Big Fish they listened.
The food was very good. This place is kind of a bar and grill atmosphere. The service was very friendly. It was a pleasure experience eating there. I would eat here again.
This is a great locals place as well as an all year restaurant. We love coming here for the happy hours and think that Matt and Molly are some of the best servers on the Eastern shore. Make sure you take advantage of the ever changing raw oysters and the best selection of salads that offer a great value.
